About Us

Cavataio's Restaurant & Pizzeria has been a beloved fixture in the Staunton, IL community since 1988. As a family-owned and operated eatery, we pride ourselves on serving a delectable array of Italian favorites. From our savory pizzas and hearty ravioli to classic spaghetti, gnocchi, and lasagna, each dish is crafted with love and tradition. Satisfy your sweet tooth with our delicious tiramisu and cannolis. Our Story

Born and raised in Italy and growing up around the restaurant business, our owner Vincent and his wife Cathy wanted to continue their family’s tradition and style of restaurant and provide those high quality dishes right here for the Staunton community and surrounding areas. Classic Italian cuisine is renowned worldwide for its simplicity, quality ingredients, and emphasis on bold flavors, and that’s exactly what we bring to the table at Cavataio's Restaurant & Pizzeria. We’re a premier Italian restaurant established in 1988 that specializes in classic Italian pizza, pastas with handcrafted sauces, and our unlimited build your own salad bar as well as other mouthwatering courses.

Our talented chefs blend fresh and mouthwatering ingredients into our classic Italian recipes that have been perfected over generations. We offer the freshest ingredients and the best homemade sauce for both our pasta and pizzas that is made in-house daily. We offer traditional Italian appetizers such as toasted ravioli, garlic bread and formaggio sticks that are perfect for sharing and will have your taste buds jumping, as well as a selection of delectable sandwiches if you’re in the mood to switch things up.

We want everyone who comes and shares a meal with us to have a wonderful experience with delicious food and an extended family feel. We’re proud to be able to offer meals that have been a part of our families for generations, and we’ve been so many amazing personal relationships providing the food, drinks, and ambiance we love. We also offer a kid’s menu offering little one’s favorites like chicken tenders, hamburgers, or a smaller portion of our pastas or pizza.
